Project Gateway

The proposed Work is generally described as follows:

I-85 Sewer Extension includes the construction of approximately 2,740 linear feet of 21-inch gravity; 15,880 linear feet of 20-inch force main; 19,750 linear feet of 16-inch force main; 8,430 linear feet of 18-inch gravity sewer main; 1,490 linear feet of 12-inch gravity sewer; 20,590 linear feet of 10-inch force main; 8,240 linear feet of 8-inch force main; 4,500 linear feet of 10-inch gravity sewer; 5,960 linear feet of 6-inch force main; and 1,840 linear feet of 8-inch force main. The project also includes horizontal directional drilling under water bodies and railroads, bore and jacking of road crossing, gravity sewer aerial crossing, 80 sewer manholes, installation of plug valves, all associated piping and appurtenances required for operation, and all necessary sitework and erosion control.

The project includes eight (8) pump stations:

· Quarry-1 Sewage Pump Station: 0.55 MGD,

· Quarry-2 Sewage Pump Station: 0.55 MGD,

· Gibbons-1 Sewage Pump Station: 0.93 MGD,

· Gibbons-2 Sewage Pump Station: 0.93 MGD,

· Jumping Branch Sewage Pump Station: 0.88 MGD,

· SC-5 Sewage Pump Station: 1.76 MGD,

· Bear Den Sewage Pump Station: 5.31 MGD, and

· Gaffney Ferry Sewage Pump Station: 5.31 MGD.

The project also includes pre-engineered metal buildings, engine-generators, VFDs and associated electrical equipment, all associated piping and appurtenances required for operation, and all necessary sitework and erosion control.
